Jack Torrance becomes the winter caretaker of the isolated, haunted Overlook Hotel. As severe blizzards trap his family inside, the hotel’s sinister forces awaken. Only his fire-year-old psychic son, Danny, who possesses “the shining”, senses the terrifying danger.
